Couples Therapy Intensives
Some conversations need more than fifty minutes.
A discovery, a decision that needs making, or a pattern that has gone on for too long can call for something more concentrated than weekly sessions. Our private intensives offer couples dedicated time, from a half day to two days, to understand what is happening between them and decide, together, what comes next.
Couples recovering from an affair or a breach of trust
Couples deciding whether to stay together or separate
Couples whose weekly therapy has stalled
Couples living outside London or abroad, or with demanding schedules
Couples preparing for marriage who want focused time to build their foundation
Who intensives are for
Before
After an initial consultation, each partner completes assessment material, so our time together is spent on what matters most.
During
We work in focused blocks with structured breaks, mapping the cycle you are caught in, exploring what sits beneath it, and practising new ways of relating while you are both in the room.
After
You leave with a tailored plan for the next stage, whether that is weekly therapy, individual work or a follow-up intensive.
How an intensive works

Where intensives take place
Is an intensive right for us?
Intensives suit couples who are motivated to work, even when they feel unsure or in pain. They are not suitable where there is ongoing violence, active addiction or a risk to safety; in these situations we will help you find the right support.
Can we do an intensive if we are already in therapy?
Yes. Some couples use an intensive to move past a stuck point, then return to their existing therapy.
Who leads the intensive?
Intensives are led by Gity Monsef-Webb, Founder and Clinical Director, psychosexual and relationship therapist, trained at Tavistock Relationships.
What happens first?
Every intensive begins with an initial consultation to assess suitability and agree the most appropriate format.
Questions couples often ask
A free 20-minute call is a chance to talk about what is happening and whether an intensive is the right fit.
